A Different Impression

 In Occasional Musings

I pulled a Craigellachie 8 yo bottled by Battlehill from the whisky cabinet today.  Originally, our Tasting Group rated it a 3.5 – not a high mark by any means but respectable.  Today, I found the nose to be a little off-putting, earthy, and maybe even a bit oily.  I did not find the honey and sweet fruits notes we posted in the original tasting note.  I suppose I’ll try it again a little later in the week to confirm my newer impressions.
