Nose: Intense and spicy: cinnamon, green grass apple pie; with water reminiscent of a Martinique rum: vegetal, green banana, toasted oak, fresh, creamy, vanilla-like flowery
Body: Clean
Palate: Appley and intense, fairly sweet and spicy; the grassy apple note continues
Finish: Nutty, very impressive

The Arran distillery is one of only a couple of independent distilleries in Scotland and is located in Locranza on the Isle of Arran. The Arran distillery was founded in 1995, although the Isle of Arran is known for its distilleries that have existed throughout its history.

Arran uses traditional methods to distill its single malt scotch, which includes using wooden wash backs. The staff offers various tours that vary in length and cost. The distillery includes an Inn and also a gift shop. that has various items to purchase.

Arran has five different single malt scotches: the 10 year old, 14 year old, single cask, Robert Burns, and a cask finish program. Arran malts vary in flavor from cinnamon and spicy to toffee apples and hazelnuts as well as malts with more of a vanilla flavor which makes it very smooth and pleasant to drink.
