More from Auchroisk

The Auchroisk distillery was founded in Mulben, Banffshire, Scotland and was constructed in 1972. Production of its malt began in 1974. Bottling its first single malt in 1978 and being one of Scotland’s‚ more modern distilleries, it was rebranded as The Singleton in 1986. That moniker was dropped by 2001 and was renamed Auchroisk Flora and Fuana. In 2008, the folks at Auchroisk changed its name to “The Singleton of Auchroisk.”

The Auchroisk distillery is capable of producing more than 3.5 million liters of whiskey a year.  During the past decade, production capacity has increased by nearly 25%.  This distillery is used primarily as a hub for vatting Auchroisk with other highland whiskies used to make J&B blended scotch before being shipped off for marrying and bottling.
