More from Glenfarclas

Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland.  Glenfarclas translates as meaning valley of the green grass. The distillery opened in 1865 and has been owned and operated by five generations of the Grant family and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to maintain that distinction.

Situated on the banks of the River Spey, Glenfarclas is celebrated for its unwavering commitment to traditional distilling methods using the crystal-clear spring water that flows from the nearby Ben Rinnes mountain.

Although only a few of its malts are sold at the distillery, Glenfarclas produces a wide range of aged whiskys that are sold elsewhere and known for their hearty sherried flavors..  The company was named Distiller of the Year by Whisky Magazine in 2006, 2020 and 2023 .

Glenfarclas was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to open a dedicated visitor center in 1973. The staff prides itself on the warmth of our welcome.  The range of tours appeal to everyone from those new to whisky, to the dedicated enthusiast.
